Australia's Prime Ministers

Arthur Fadden entered Federal Parliament in 1936 and retired in 1958. During these years he
served as Leader of the Country Party, Deputy Prime Minister and Treasurer. He acted as Prime
Minister on many occasions during overseas trips by Menzies. Fadden became Treasurer in 1940
and delivered a record 11 budgets.
