High bandwidth [2.95 MB]Tri separations, or tri seps, are the three full versions of the film each recording a single specific colour component of the image in cyan, magenta and yellow.
The red negative contains only the red information component of the image.
The red negative prints back to give the cyan or blue/green component of the image.
The green negative prints back to give the magenta or blue/red component of the image.
The blue negative prints back to give the yellow or red/green component of the image.
When printed together they combine to give a full colourt positive image.
