Synopsis
This dramatised documentary reveals a day in the life of four unemployed adolescents in the steelwork city of Wollongong, NSW, who are faced with an uncertain future. This film captures the mood and experience of urban life in Australia in the 1980s.
Background
The film was awarded the 1982 Rouben Mamoulian Prize, Sydney Film Festival. Awarded the Silver Boomerang at the 1982 Melbourne Film Festival and won for Best Cinematography at the 1982 Australian Film Institute Awards. The film was produced with the assistance of the Women's Film Fund and the Creative Development Branch of the Australian Film Commission.
